Toyota furloughs seven lines in five Japanese plants | Automotive Industry News

“Thanks to the current market condition and decline in demand from customers abroad”, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has made a decision to halt production on seven production strains in five Japanese plants beginning from three April.

The suspension time period may differ by plant and production line.

  • Takaoka Plant, #one production line
  • three operating times from three-7 April
  • Tsutsumi Plant, #one and #two production strains
  • three operating times from three-7 April
  • Tahara Plant, #one production line
  • 6 operating times from three-ten April
  • Tahara Plant, #three production line
  • 8 operating times from three-14 April
  • Toyota Motor Kyushu (TMK), #one production line
  • 9 operating times from three-fifteen April
  • Hino, Hamura Plant, #one production line
  • two operating times from three-6 April

Crops and production strains other than stated will remain in procedure as regular, TMC explained in a statement.
