Lewis Hamilton knighted

7-time Method Just one winner Lewis Hamilton gained his knighthood for products and services to motorsport on Wednesday, times following he lost out on what would have been a record eighth title following a tense past lap at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Hamilton retains the record for most race wins with 103 although he is tied with German good Michael Schumacher on 7 drivers’ championships.

The 36-yr-aged Briton, the sport’s only Black driver, was built a Knight Bachelor by Britain’s Prince Charles throughout an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle in England.

Hamilton is the fourth F1 driver to be knighted following the late Australian Jack Brabham, Stirling Moss and triple winner Jackie Stewart, and the only a single to have gained the award although even now racing.

Other energetic sportsmen who have gained a knighthood are cycling’s Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins, Olympic five,000 and ten,000 meters gold medallist Mo Farah, twice Wimbledon winner Andy Murray and England cricketer Alastair Prepare dinner.

Hamilton lost out on the 2021 title to Purple Bull driver Max Verstappen on Sunday. The two have been equivalent on points ahead of the ultimate race in Abu Dhabi, the place the Dutchman overtook Hamilton on the ultimate lap to raise his maiden title.
