Since the Mitsubishi Outlander does not have a new plug-in hybrid product, the manufacturer is not going to be competing in the Rebelle Rally with electric powered guidance this calendar year. But Kia is finding up the baton by moving into not one particular, but two 2022 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrids in the all-women of all ages off-highway race.
The Sorentos have been beefed up for the tough terrain, and in preserving with the all-women of all ages concept, they have been modified by the women of all ages-owned shop, LGE-CTS. Just one-inch spacer have been equipped to the suspension for a modest raise together with chunky all-terrain tires on 17-inch KMC wheels. Skid plates line the bottom for security, and tow hooks have been equipped for potential recoveries. Speaking of recoveries, tools these as tread boards and shovels are stored on the aftermarket roof racks. Inside, the rear seats have been taken off to make space for a custom made storage process.
With two Sorentos, Kia has two teams moving into. Just one of them is Kia’s team from last calendar year, comprised of Alyssa Roenigk and Sabrina Howells. The second team is new with rally driver Verena Mei and navigator Tana White. They’re going to be competing in the X-Cross course from cars these as the aforementioned Mitsubishi Outlander and even the VW ID.four. The Rebelle Rally is previously underway and wraps up on October 16.
