It is a sad day for petrolheads in South Africa but a celebration for community boutique dealership Status Marques right after selling an immaculate Ferrari F50 to a collector in the Usa.
Prior to the motor vehicle leaving our shores, there were just a few illustrations of the extremely special car or truck but this a person was the most distinctive of them all.
It was at first imported and registered in SA by TAKMotors in 1996, the formal Ferrari agent at the time. It savored a pampered life right up until 2012 when it was sold to its second caretaker obtaining only protected 4900 km in sixteen a long time. The 2nd caretaker employed it even extra sparingly and only lined 520 km in ten several years of ownership. Irrespective of the length coated the car or truck obtained regime routine maintenance with no price spared. Most notably being a company and gas mobile substitution in 2022. This instance has the cheapest mileage and is the most original of the 3. Sporting its primary tyres, accompanied by its flight situation together with an original comfortable-leading roof that has hardly ever been used.
The Ferrari F50 was constructed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ferrari. It highlighted an F1-derived V12 engine and was the only guide, V12 anniversary model crafted by Maranello. With a total output run of 349 models, it is just one of the rarest Ferraris ever created. In a digital entire world, the F50 is as analogue as they get. No electric power steering, no Stomach muscles, no traction regulate.
Though the sale rate will not be disclosed, we can affirm that this is the 2nd most costly car ever offered in South Africa driving a McLaren F1 in 2020.
We would like to congratulate our pals from Status Marques on concluding this kind of a monumental sale and hope to see some visuals of this spectacular machine from Maranello from throughout the pond.
